You have to find out if you will be the one to deliver the furniture or if they should be able to pick it up for you.

If you are someone who really has his or her hands full, common sense dictates that the charity house where you will be donating the furniture to should be the one to get that fixture from your place. However, if you are really feeling big-hearted and would like to be able to see personally the charity house to where you will give that fixture then driving to the charity house would not be a bad idea at all.
